VibhÄ«á¹£aṇa, Lakṣmaṇa and the rest come out of the city suitably attired to where Rāma and Sītā await them, while Hanumān holds Rāma's bow and waves a white cloth over them. They all ask permission to accompany Rāma, Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa to AyodhyÄ, to which Rāma readily agrees. The Puá¹£paka aerial chariot, borne up by four haṃsas flies in from Laṅkā, and the entire party, with Lakṣmaṇa back in hermit's dress, begins the journey back to AyodhyÄ.
