FASCISM cover of the book "Noi, Ebrei" by Abraham Levi; this essay proposes a collection of the controversies raised by the volume "The Jews in Italy" by Paolo Orano (19 June 1875 - 7 April 1945), published by the same publishing house, as well as the criticism of the author (self-styled fascist Jew) to the positions taken by the 'Oran, and a correspondence with several members of Jewish culture in Italy. In reality, the author behind the pseudonym, the journalist Alfredo De Donno (3 May 1887 - 28 August 1976), was not Jewish, and the publication had the dual purpose of commercially exploiting a hot topic and stirring up controversy in favor of anti-Semitic propaganda, preparing public opinion for the forthcoming promulgation of the racial laws.
