In 1955 Chicago teenager Emmett Till (1941-1955) was lynched while visiting relatives near Money, Mississippi; McMahon's collection visually documents the trial of the two men accused of murdering Till; This drawing shows Carolyn Holloway Bryant (1934- ) testifying while her lawyer places his hands on her hips; Mrs Bryant was the wife of one of the accused men and the white woman with whom Till is said to have 'flirted' shortly before being kidnapped;
