Maurice (4th L) and Gegina Gryisma (3rd L) leave Lenox Hill Hospital in New York after receiving antibiotics, October 31, 2001. Mr. Gryisma was recently a patient at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital where Kathy Nguyen, a 61 year old woman from the Bronx who worked as a stockroom clerk for the hospital, died from anthrax. Mrs. Gryisma visited her husband while he was being treated. City officials started giving patients, like the Gryismas antibiotics as a precautionary measure.
