The Jami' al-Tawarikh was produced by the vizier Rashid al-Din (1247-1318) Tabriz in NW Iran and is datable 1314; It was commissioned by the Ghazan Khan and in essence is a description of the Turco-Mongolian world of the thirteenth and early fourteenth centuries; 'History of the World'; the depiction of the angel as a man without wings follows the text of the Qur'an; attributed to the Luhrasp Master;
