Henry Weigall (London 1829 - Ramsgate 1925). Oil painting on canvas, Rosa Louisa Bastard, Mrs Edmund George Bankes (1827-1878) by Henry Weigall (1829-1925), signed and dated HW (monogram) 1865. A half-length oval portrait, turned to right, head turned almost three-quarters to right, hair has a centre parting and drawn back showing the right ear with a drop-earring of beads, wearing a double necklace of the same beads with a crucifix suspended from the smaller necklace. Rose married in 1848 and was the daughter of Percival Bastard of Stourpaine. Kingston Lacy Estate, Dorset (Accredited Museum)
