Olnispagården in Dalarna. The farm has evidently been in the same family's possession from the time of Gustav Vasa in the 16th century until 1945. The Olnispagården with many useful objects made of iron and wood tells about the area from the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century. The farm is typical of the 19th century and earlier. It is now a homestead in Transtrand parish in Malung-Sälen municipality in Dalarna. On March 19, 1922, the first Vasaloppet started at Olnispagården. Legend has it that it was at Olnispagården that Gustav Eriksson Vasa spent the night in 1520-21. When he had just left the farm, two Mora men caught up with him and persuaded him to turn around and become their leader in the liberation war against Christian Tyrant. In 1903, just next to Olnispagården, the Vasa Monument was erected to commemorate this event. The picture from 1922.
