An edited record of the demarcation of the border between Uganda and Kenya from late 1959 to March 1960. The 6-month safari along the trackless border at the foot of the scarp included camels, donkeys and porters. An administrator from each country (L.E.Whitehouse, DC Turkana for Kenya, and John Cleave from Uganda) organised the logistics and trace cutting, and surveyors from each country did the markers and triangulation.
