Image description

CINEMA Poster for the film “Don Juan” (Don Giovanni and Lucrezia Borgia), based on Lord Byron's poem, directed by Alan Crosland (August 10, 1894 - July 16, 1936) with John Barrymore (John Sidney Blyth, 15 February 1882 - May 29, 1942) and Mary Astor (Lucile Vasconcellos Langhanke, 3 May 1906 - Los Angeles, September 25, 1987). This is the first film produced experimentally with sound in the Vitaphone system, a musical background without dialogues and sound effects, which anticipated “The Jazz Singer” by a year (for the direction of the same Crosland), the film universally considered the first with a real soundtrack.
