Eighteenth century recreation of the famous scroll by Zhang Zeduan (1085–1145) showing Bianliang (Kaifeng) city, the capital of the Northern Song Dynasty, during the Spring Festival (Qingming jie or Ch'ing Ming meaning clear and bright) dedicated to the buried dead which takes place along the (Yellow) river 'Ch'ing Ming Shang Ho'. This scene towards the end of the scroll shows a Buddhist temple towards which a bridal procession is moving.
