Grimaces et misère - Les Saltimbanques (Main title) Pelez, Fernand A fairground troupe of 10 characters is gathered on a platform. On the left, three teenage girls in swimsuits stand waiting for their turn. Next to them, a little boy holding a drum cries, leaning against a post to which a ring with a parrot is attached. The tallest girl puts one hand on her waist and leans the other against a post. An older woman, partly hidden, stands beneath a sign reading "30 Seconds". Next to it, above a bass drum, another parrot is depicted on a ring. In the center of the stage stands a white clown with a frog painted on his costume. Next to him, the troupe's bonisseur holds his hands crossed over his chest with a satisfied expression. To the left of the clown, a dwarf seated on the stairs turns towards the spectator. To the right, three seated old men hold their instruments in their hands, beneath a sign reading "Orchestre français", where a small monkey stands. Signature - Signed lower right: "f. Pelez".
