Wood gas in the old days. The recording of the Swedish feature film Stora skrällen from 1942 where the actors Karin Ekelund and Allan Bohlin take part. A natural feature during these years during the Second World War is the gas car. Gene gas ( Generator gas ), is a gas that results from the incomplete combustion of wood or coal, and was used to power vehicles. The driver had to fill up the coal himself and make sure that the combustion functioned as it should. Due to a lack of fuel during the Second World War, natural gas played a major role in keeping transport running.
