Sports day sprint races with European men and women. There are sequences at the Bulawayo Horse Races, an International Rugby match (Britain vs Rhodesia) followed by an International Cricket match. Country cricket match played by amateurs, followed by MCC vs Rhodesia, touring cricket match. There are shots of the Ellis Park Tennis Finals. The final sequence is a Racing Regatta on the Vaal River.
(8.50 to 10.16) Intertitle: Sheep vs Goats – A Couple of Sheep. This is a sequence of shots showing an amateur cricket match on sandy pitch in open scrub country. The sequence mostly consists of long shots from the boundary but with some mid shots of the players.

Intertitle: 1939 – M.C vs Rhodesia. This is a sequence of various shots of a cricket match, of the spectators and of the players.
(12.33 to 15.03) Intertitle: Ellis Park Finals. The sequence opens with an image of sheet of newspaper reading Johannesburg Saturday, April 8, 1939 and headlines relating to tennis. This is followed by footage of a tennis stadium showing the play in the following finals: Men’s, women’s, men's doubles and women’s doubles followed by mixed doubles.
