Washington D.C. , Washington D.C. , United States of America Young men demonstrate in front of the White House against the involvement of the USA in the threatening World War. The demonstrators affixed posters to the fence in front of the White House, with which they accuse President Franklin Delano Roosevelt of preparing for war. One contemporary reason for the fear of war was the so-called Sudetenland Crisis. Because of German troop movements on the border, the Czechoslovakian government mobilized part of its army on May 21, 1938. When France, Britain and Poland intervened in the crisis, Ribbentrop denied the advance of troops.
