Charles L'Eplattenier's Sentinelle des Rangiers, erected in 1924 on the Rangiers Pass between Delsberg and Pruntrut, is a memorial to the border guards who were stationed in the Jura during the First World War. It was popularly known as “le Fritz” and was taken up in December 1953. It fell victim to the Jura conflict and was torn from its pedestal several times.
