Abomah was the stage name of Ella Williams, nee Grigsby (1865-c.1930), who toured the music halls and theatres billed as the tallest woman in the world. A message on the back of this postacrd reads: 'This is supposed to be the tallest woman in the world nine foot seven'. Despite such claims, her actual height without heels was probably a little under seven foot.
