A beautiful American lady, who was at the toilets on the California coast, was suddenly enveloped by the huge tentacles of a colossal sea monster. Some bathers flocked, but another slimy arm of the monster clung to the nearest rescuer. The adventure - narrated by American newspapers - would have ended tragically, if a young man armed with a knife had not launched himself on the horrible beast by hitting it in the vital points.
