A half-length portrait to right, head facing, wearing black gown with white bands. En suite with HHE/P/163. The Reverend Richard Smith, Vicar of Edensor, near Chatsworth 1804-37. He married Charlotte, daughter of Thomas Hyde, Esq. of the Hudson's Bay Company. He was with William Cavendish (1783-1812), the 7th Duke's father (1808-1891), at the time of his fatal accident.
