Image description

A Chinese soldier (R) returns the remains of one of ten U.S. airmen, who were killed when their B-24 bomber crashed in China in 1944 during World War Two, to U.S. POW-MIA official Greg Mann at a ceremony in Xingan in south China's Guangxi province January 15. The remains of the bomber and its crew, which crashed while returning to a Guangxi airfield following a 1944 bombing mission near Taiwan, lay hidden in mountains for more than 50 years until the crew were discovered by two farmers in October 1996.
