Image description

A Medieval-style jewel casket designed by Philip Webb and painted by Rossetti and his wife Lizzie Sidall. Inspired by Hans Memling's Celebrated St Ursula reliquary (1480), the scenes depict young lovers and was probably given to Jane as a wedding gift when she and William Morris were married on 26th April 1859.
