A page from the 11th century Bible introducing the various Books of the Old Testament: The Major and Minor Prophets: Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Naum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi. Also: Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel. On this Bible the consuls, doges and other city magistrates swore when they took office. In Napoleonic times the codex was transferred to the Bibliothèque Royale in Paris and later returned to Genoa.
