Egypt 195702. UN soldiers on the Sinai Peninsula-U.N. Emergency force in the sinai peninsula. UN troops have followed up the Israeli withdrawal, and forces against the Israeli are now deployed in the Sinai desert. For example, Swedish UN troops are posted against an Israeli Checkpoint, near Rafah on the southern southern tip of the Gaza Strip. Colombian troops are positioned along the road between Ismailia and El Auja, near the Egyptian-Israelska Demaring Line. The Yugoslaves are also close to the demarcation line, on the road between Abu Aweiglla and El Auja, as well as at El Qusaima. Further south, at Al Kuntillah and Khashm at Tarif, northwest of Elath at the Aqaba Gulf, stands Indonesian troops.
