At the first delegates' meeting of the women's football league, the women's champion was honoured in 1970 with the handing over a cup, recorded on 13 February 1971 in Bern. Last year's unofficial championship was played according to the junior rules. Rene Favre, President of ZUS, presents the trophy to Nelly Juillard, representative of the women's soccer club Sion. The Women's Football League was officially founded on 21 April 1970.
