The winning patrol of the “Patrouille des Glaciers” with Corporal Vouardoux and Private Genoud shortly before the finish in Verbier. The skis must be worn on the last section of the route. The Patrouille des Glaciers, a long-distance race from Zermatt to Verbier, was held for the second time on 24 April 1944. 46 three-man patrols will take part, covering a distance of 70 kilometres with a difference in altitude of 7800 metres.
