The composer Paul Burkhard, on the left, and the author Herbert Meier, on the right, are applauding the choir from the Canton of Ticino, Switzerland for interpreting “Schweizerlied” (Swiss song) Pictured on March 29, 1973 in the city hall in Zurich, Switzerland. The song was played for the mayor in Italian language. It is a try to create a new national anthem, initiated by the musical director Hans Erismann. Burkhard composeds the anthem and the author Herbert Meier wrote the text. The anthem though could't be established as a replacement of the old one.
