View of the camp of Maggi in Kemptthal, canton Zuerich. Maggi has enriched the kitchen for 100 years. The cubes of broth, sauces and soup spices which have been industrially produced in Kempttal since 1886 should first be used to improve the nutritional situation of the working population. Julius Maggi not only invented the soup spice. The mill owner was also a pioneer of advertising. The Austrian playwright Frank Wedekind Maggi pointed the way with his sayings and verses, which he found memorable at the time. Maggi took care of the rest himself - with his name and product the brown square bottles for the spice and the company colours yellow and red as trademarks survived to this day.
