An oval pair of three-quarter length portraits, Thomas standing on the left, turned slightly to the right, gazing at the spectator and Mary seated on the right, facing, head slightly inclined to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing Coronation robes. Her left elbow leans on a blue covered table, her right hand holding a coronet in her lap. Daughter of Ruishe Wentworth of Sarre, Isle of Thanet. They married in 1706/7. They were the parents of Mary Howard who married George Vernon who became the 1st Lord Vernon after her death. Ruishe Wentworth was nephew of Thomas Wentworth Earl of Strafford.
