Pakistan Wildlife Management staff carry a blind, pregnant dolphin during a rescue operation near Sukkur, 480 km (300 miles) from the port city of Karachi May 20, 2003. In the Kirthar canal, fed by the Indus River, a group of officials from the Wildlife Department rescued the dolphin which belongs to a unique and endangered freshwater species called the 'Indus river dolphin' or 'blind dolphin'.
