China's commercial capital Shanghai remains vigilant in monitoring residents and visitors entering the city. Shanghai has reported no new Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) cases, for the past 10 consecutive days on Monday. Almost two thirds of the world's cases of the flu-like SARS virus have occurred in China, where the government said on Monday 289 people had died and a cumulative total of 5,236 have been infected by the disease.
