Hellen, who was released by her captors in the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) in June, spent almost seven years serving as child "wife"for a rebel commander. Like other captive brides, she was repeatedly raped and forced to perform slave labour at LRA bases in Sudan. Charities in Gulu say the LRA has embarked on its worst spree of abductions for years since June, kidnapping some 4,000 children from villages in northern Uganda.
