Woven in wools and silks, depicting the Month of December from The Medallion Months, with the blood-letting of a boar by a butcher, his helper and a woman, to the left two boys with a torch next to a maid speaking to her master and mistress, to the right a group standing around a fire, the scene is surmounted by the personification of December inscribed 'FOLUS', surrounded by wind-blowing putti, the sky with clouds and snow, various buildings in the background, in a circular frame with winged putti-faces and centred by a medallion with a ram inscribed below 'DECEMBRE', to the top left corner the personification of the North Wind with his bellows inscribed 'AQUILON', to right top corner the figure of a bearded man, the lower right corner shows a wood with an owl and various other birds, the lower left corner depicts a man and woman catching birds in a bag and cage, the border with ribbon-tied garlands of flowers and fruits, the corners with a foliated mask with ram-horns, a lion and two snails, restorations to light silks and brown wools the cartoons were almost certainly drawn by an artist from the circle of Bernard van Orley
