After the capture of the German submarine, U-505, salvage parties work on the U-boat as one of USS Guadalcanal’s Turboprop Aircraft (TBM) circles overhead and the USS Chatelain (DE-149), whose depth charge attack forced the German crew to surface and abandon their ship, approaches in the background on June 4th, 1944. The U-505 now resides at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry.
