The Saint-Cosme Priory, Touraine (photography)

Saint-Cosme Priory At the gates of Tours, the St Cosme Priory was founded in the 11th century. You can still see the canones' refectory, the remains of the church that contains Ronsard's tomb, the poet's home. Since 2010, 14 glasses decorated by the painter Zao Wou-Ki have decorated the windows of the refectory. Jardin des Parfums, pergola, large orchard and bouquetier, and vegetable garden des Monks are all invitations to travel and to discover. It is thus the repository of a unique collection of Poor Books, small handwritten and painted poetry books, initiated by Daniel Leuwers.
