La Celle-Guenand is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France.
The Notre-Dame church, closed since 2004 due to its condition deteriorated over the years, was selected to benefit from the Heritage Loto in May 2018
The Romanesque facade is what makes this building famous. It has a central door, flanked by two smaller blind arches and topped by a semicircular window with columns, which gives the whole thing a Poitevin look. The Romanesque portal L'archplein consists of four openings that fall on top columns located in the jamb recesses. The slaveaux in the upper arch are decorated with crowned human faces. The central vaults are decorated with figures or leaves, but those in the lower arch have not been sculpted.
