Sep. 09, 1953 - Ice cream man offers Epsteins for sale.: Jacob Epstein, the famous sculptor, said last night:” Is am disgusted with the commercialisation of my art”. He had just been told that his three-ton alabaster statue of Adam and two more of his masterpiece were advertised for sale. Adam, the 7 ft. symbolic interpretation of Man, which infuriated some people and enraptured others, then drew in the thousands as a sideshow, is in store. With him are Jacob and the Angel, and the advertisement. And up in Blackpool where Adam was once a sideshow hit - Epstein's dusky bronze figure of Eve lies under dust covers in the office of an amusement and catering fim. She is for sale too

Photo shows the forgotten EVE - Epstein's masterpiece rests in the Central Beach Office of a Blackpool amusement caterer. She became a” general asset” when the amusement firm bought out the previous exhibitors.
