The 'description of the journey of Friedrich V', relates the journey of Friedrich V, king of Bohemia, and his entourage to London; the celebration of this marriage to Princess Elizabeth Stuart; the journey of both back to Heidelberg and the events surrounding their entry into the city which included a mock tournament in which Friedrich acted in the role of Jason securing the Golden Fleece. For the actual reception Frederick had built a large camp. The engraving combines several events, the arrival and welcome; a military manoeuver in honor of the new mistress in the background; and, the train of the couple in the city.
