A three-quarter-length portrait of a young man, standing turned to left, gazing at the spectator, wearing armour and a sword, with a flowing scarlet sash with gold fringe, worn over his chest and his left arm and tied behind with a bow. A scarlet many-bowed jabot and long curled brown wig. His right hand rests on top of his plumed helmet on the table left, his right hand rests on the table which is covered with a red cloth and fingers the bottom of the helmet. Dark background.
