She stands before a throne with Byzantine motifs, inlaid with colored stones. With her legs bent, the child raises her arms, making the gesture of Christ blessing. In a circle around them, angels with female faces turned towards the Virgin and Child are depicted in various attitudes, with hands clasped or resting on their chests.
