FOR FEATURE BC-SAFRICA-ELECTION-KWAZULU - A man walks past a row of homes destroyed in years of fighting between two political parties for control of the town of Wembezi in KwaZulu-Natal province. Over 20,000 people were killed and tens of thousands more left homeless in more than a decade of fighting between President Nelson Mandela's African National Congress and the predominantly Zulu-supported Inkatha Freedom Party for control of the province.
