An edited record of the demarcation of the border between Uganda and Kenya from late 1959 to March 1960. The 6-month safari along the trackless border at the foot of the scarp included camels, donkeys and porters. An administrator from each country (L.E.Whitehouse, DC Turkana for Kenya, and John Cleave from Uganda) organised the logistics and trace cutting, and surveyors from each country did the markers and triangulation. 00.13 to 00.17 - Title: Crane Films. Surveying and scrub clearance ready for boundary marking. 02.13 to 03.13 - British camp set up in wooded clearing, as camel train and porters arrive. 03.38 to 04.20 - Clearing with camels; packs loaded onto camels. 04.23 to 04.38 - Tribesmen in camp with pack donkeys carrying tins, one is being unloaded. 04.38 to 05.43 - Camel trains leaving camp. 05.43 to 06.00 - Two tribesmen felling tree.
