Immigration Trappes
Trappes is a French commune located in the Yvelines department, in the Île-de-France region.
Starting in the 1970s, the town experienced strong immigration from outside Europe, who found their home in the large bars of HLM107. At the time, they were considered modern and comfortable, compared to the slums and cramped Parisian apartments. Between 1968 and 1975, the immigrant population in Trappes grew by 325%. A large part of the French and Portuguese and Italian immigrants leave the city.
