Image description

George III cut-glass crystal candelabra, attributed to William Parker, cast a shadow on a paneled wall in home of David Rockefeller. The Collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller reflects the passion for Impressionist and Asian art and decorative art, and Asian and European porcelain, by generations of the Rockefeller family. In May 2018, Christies sold the contents of their Manhattan and Pocantico Hills homes. David was the last living third generation descendent of John D. Rockefeller, creator of Standard Oil. All estate proceeds benefited charities that Peggy and David supported in their lifetime. Photo by Visko Hatfield
