Cricket, English Test Team 1936. At Old Trafford, Manchester, England fielded many players new to International honours. Although the game against India was drawn, many of these young players proved their worth, England scoring 571 runs, India 203 and 390 for 5. With the exception of H Gimblett and A Gover, all the above players were selected to represent England in Australia 1936/37.
