Moura Budberg, née Zakrevskaya, variously Countess Benckendorff and Baroness Budberg (1891-1974). She was the mistress of British diplomat Sir R. H. Bruce Lockhart, and the writers Maxim Gorky and H.G. Wells. She was widely suspected of being a double agent for both the Soviet Union and British intelligence, known as the "Mata Hari of Russia", and was renowned for her capacity for gin.
