A full-length portrait of a man, standing, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, in Garter robes. He rests his right hand on a table on which is the hat of the Order. The table-cloth and curtain behind are of the same rich fabric, patterned in gold and green. Henry Danvers was a cousin of Lady Anne Cecil, wife of the 1st Earl of Stamford.
