Image description

Quechua Indians of the Cacachaka clan play native instruments and dance on the first day of their annual festival held in their village, nearly 500 kilometers south of La Paz, May 10. The clan members, who practice the ritual fight know as the "Tinku" which each year ends with several deaths and injuries, are the same ones who attacked the rival clan called the "Laimes" earlier this year and killed an estimated 20 people.
