Image description

Young Vietnamese, born with deformities believed to be caused by Agent Orange, the dioxin-laced chemical defoliant sprayed during the Vietnam War, attend a dressmaking course sponsored by a humanitarian agency "Terre des Hommes Germany" in Ben Tre province more than 100 kms from Ho Chi Minh City April 22. Some 72 million litres of herbicides, of which Agent Orange was the best known, were sprayed over South Vietnam to stop infiltration by communist forces using jungle cover. Vietnam will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the end of Vietnam War on April 30.
