Drawing of the interior of the house of a Chinese official, originally bound into a volume together with Add.Or.2084-2188, 2190-2196. By a Canton artist, c.1800-05. Gouache; 16.5 by 21.5 ins. Deposited c.1806. Note: The drawings show the interior of the house of a certain Liu who was a Chin-Shih (a successful candidate in the examination for a ‘second degree’). His name and rank are inscribed on two lanterns in Add.Or.2187.
