Image description

Wrist band in memory of Corporal David Barnsdale, 61 Field Squadron, 33 Engineer Regiment (Explosive Ordnance Disposal), 2011. This red rubber wrist band commemorates ‘David Barnsdale Our Fallen Hero’. Corporal Barnsdale was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Afghanistan on 19 October 2010 during Operation HERRICK 13 (October 2010-April 2011). His parents produced wrist bands like this one and gave them to all serving with their son’s unit. This one has not been used.
