Finnmark 195212: Fiskebanken Ny-Lepen (new): The new fishing. Trawl or not trawl has been one of the major martial issues in Norwegian fisheries policy. Norwegian fishermen are no longer uncompromising opponents of trawling - they are aware that Norway will have to keep up with the development. It is a new form of trawling that is now breaking through in Norway - the so -called small trawling. This operating method is based on the fish to be delivered fresh, which means that the boats cannot be out in the field more than a few days at a time. - - It has been going on a lively experimental fishing with two small trawlers. The results have so far been very encouraging, and it is intended that the development fund for Northern Norway will provide support for the development of a small trawler fleet as part of the work to strengthen the region's business sector.
